I realized I wanted to write about sports when I was in high school, and my late aunt Rachael helped me get started. It made me discover my passion as a storyteller. Over 800 bylines later, between college and the Boston Globe, I've earned the 2025 Bay State Pride Award from the Massachusetts chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

I started by blogging and covering high school football in Natick, where I played on the ultimate team for four years as a founding member.

I joined The Lafayette Student Newspaper as a freshman in 2016. By the next fall, the staff asked me to add editing to my duties. I contributed photos and worked on the print layout as well, helping the staff wherever I could. The result was 172 bylines and a strong sports section, while managing the men's basketball team too.

I began working at the Boston Globe in 2021, covering anything and everything asked of me. These included football, wrestling, swim, volleyball, ski, etc. In December 2022, I started on the wrestling beat and have written notebook/feature articles every week of wrestling seasons since then. I joined the boys' volleyball beat that spring and the girls' volleyball beat in the fall. I have worked with beat partners a few times, and done the others solo. I now have over 650 bylines with the Globe

Team Massachusetts brought me along to the Fargo wrestling nationals in 2025, and I created a blog website with my 13 articles in the eight days, along with the schedule, rosters, and coaches. I took lots of photos for the team, some of which I included with the stories online.

It has been, and continues to be, a thrilling journey.
